Welshpool Medical Centre is not a minor injury unit, however there is a minor injury unit service delivered from Welshpool Hospital.

Minor Injury Units in Powys are able to treat adults and children aged 2 years and over.  All Minor Injury Units currently operate on a “phone first” basis. All patients are asked to phone before attending so that we can provide you with a telephone assessment and advice, and book you in for an appointment as appropriate. These arrangements are in place to keep you safe and keep our staff safe:  Phone First: 01938 558919 or 01938 558931   If you are not able to use the telephone then drop-in continues to be available.

The Out of Hours number is 111. If phoning from a mobile you may be unable to connect to this number - you will need to phone 0345 46 47 instead.

As a practice we are closed between 18:30 to 08:00, Monday to Friday, and from 18:00  until 08.00, Friday to Monday.

In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call 111. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor

In an emergency call 999. Chest pains and/or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

NHS Direct Wales and Shropdoc GP out of hours services now share this easy to remember number... 111
